*It was... pretty good.* Meg replied and Katie looked at her.

*Pretty good?* She replied raising an eyebrow. *Come on, you were looking forward to that concert for months. What happened?* Katie asked and Meg smiled.

*Nothing, it was really good.* Meg lied as they walked into homeroom together. The week went by pretty fast, the last days of the week Meg had finals and then she was done with school. She didn't have any more classes, she had to go back the next week to rehearse for graduation and before she knew it the big day had come. Meg hadn't been thinking about AJ much; she just tried to keep him out of her head. Graduation was really good and Meg went out with her friends after and celebrated. The day had come for Meg to leave for Florida.

*I'll miss you guys and I'll call you when I get there.* She said to her parents and her little brother and sister, giving them all hugs. She walked into the airport with one of her bags and over to her gate. After she boarded she relaxed and listened to music all the way there, which was only about 3 hours.

*Hey girl!!* Sara yelled as Meg walked off of the plane.

*Hi,* She replied setting her bag down and hugging Sara.

*Thank god you're here. It's been so boring. I don't know anyone... well I met a couple people but I'll tell you about it later.* Sara said happily and Meg smiled as they walked outside to a limo that was waiting for them.

*Nick's been treatin ya good I can tell...* Meg said as they got in the limo.

*Of course I have, I love her.* Nick said and Meg jumped and looked over, seeing Nick sitting down. *It's good to see you.* He said leaning over and giving Meg a hug. *Sorry I didn't come in... crowds... you know.* He said and Meg and Sara laughed. They all talked until they got to Sara and Nick's house.

*Holy shit... you live here?* Meg asked wide-eyed.

*Yeah come on it's better inside.* Sara said grabbing her hand and running inside with her.

*Don't worry, I'll get the bags!* Nick called after them as he opened the trunk and Sara waved to him over her shoulder.

*...And this is your room.* Sara said finishing the tour of the whole house, which had taken about 30 minutes. Sara had to explain everything extensively.

*Damn...* Meg said under her breath as she put her small bag on the bed. *This is really nice. Are you sure it's okay with Nick?* She asked looking at Sara.

*Yeah, it's fine.* Sara replied.

*So... have you gotten a job?* Meg asked and Sara laughed.

*No. I've just been having fun... it's so weird that he can just spend as much money as he wants... it's not fair. Well actually it is since he loves me!* Sara replied smiling and Meg smiled back at her. *Come on, you hungry?* She asked, not even allowing Meg to answer before she pulled her back down the stairs.

*She's eating right now. I'm gonna take her out and when we get back everyone's gonna be here right?* Sara asked Nick.

*Yes hunny, don't worry.* Nick said kissing her softly. Sara took Meg out to play some pool and show her around the town and by the time they pulled into the driveway it was about 9 o'clock.

*What are all these cars here for?* Meg asked staring at Sara and Sara giggled. They walked up to the door in silence and when Meg opened the door everyone yelled SURPRISE. *Whoa...* Meg said smiling and then Sara hugged her.

*It's a welcome party... plus we all just missed you.* Brian said hugging Meg and then the rest of the guys hugged her.

*It's really good to see you guys... I don't know anyone here!* Meg said and they all laughed at her.

*You wanna dance?* Howie asked her and she accepted. *How are you?* He asked as they danced and Meg looked at his face, which was level with hers.

*Pretty good, I graduated last week.* She replied and he hugged her.

*Congratulations.* He said and she thanked him. *So you're living here now...* He said and she smiled and nodded yes.

*I can't believe it though... this house is so damn big. I'm gonna get lost.* Meg said and Howie laughed with her. They danced for about 30 minutes and then Meg walked over to get a drink. ~Theres a bar?~ Meg said to herself and then laughed.

*Oh damn... excuse me.* AJ said as he bumped into Meg, not recognizing her. *What--I mean hi.* He corrected himself, grabbing her arm to help her from falling.

*Oh hey.* She said as a whole bunch of feelings came rushing back. ~Shit shit SHIT.~ She said in her head.

*What are you doing here?* He asked her as she just stood there and looked at him.

*What are you doing here?* She replied to him and he smiled and her heart melted.

*I was gonna get a drink... is that what you were going for?* He asked bending his head down to get her eye contact and after a few seconds Meg blinked her eyes.

*Oh yeah...* She said smiling shyly. *This party is for me.* She said excitedly.

*Really?* AJ asked leaning his elbows against the bar and facing her.

*I'm moving in with Sara and Nick, at least until I find my own place.* Meg explained. They talked for a little while but most of it was silence, neither of them knew what to say.

*You wanna dance?* He asked her and she accepted. They danced for a while, at least an hour, before Meg started to feet light headed.

*I gotta go outside.* She yelled over the music and he walked with her out the backdoor since she didn't know her way around the house.

*Are you okay?* AJ asked her, putting his hand on her back as she sat down in the grass.

*Yeah, it's just way too hot in there.* Meg replied, sighing deeply, letting the fresh air fill her lungs. *So...* She said after a few minutes. *Is this gonna be weird for you?*

*What? You living here?* He asked her and she nodded, ripping some of the grass out from underneath her to keep her hands occupied. *No... the fact that you hate me might bug me a little.* AJ explained with a slight smile.

*AJ, I don't hate you. It's just that every time I see you or even think about you it brings back memories that I don't want.* Meg explained looking at him and he looked a little hurt that she didn't want to remember the wonderful night they had together. *But I don't hate you...*

*Yeah but how are we gonna work over that?* AJ asked. *You know I like you... I want you to be a part of my life, not like you have a choice.* He said smiling. *Either as a friend or more.* Meg took her eyes from the grass and looked up at him.

*What about Dana?* Meg asked, swallowing hard.

*Yeah well... I don't know. All I know is that I really like you and I really liked the night that we spent together and I don't want to forget it.* AJ explained and Meg smiled at him, ripping some grass apart.

*Well we can be friends, I want to be. I think I'm over it.* Meg explained.

*You sure?* He asked her and she smiled and nodded, liking the thought of him being a part or her life. *Aight,* AJ replied standing up and pulling Meg in for a hug. He brushed the grass off of her, laughing, and they walked back inside and danced some more for a little while until Meg decided to go to sleep.

*So did you see Meg?* Sara asked AJ as she sat on the couch next to him and looked at the mess that was left in her and Nick's house.

*Yeah... God, she is so beautiful. I'm such an idiot.* AJ explained and Sara laughed.

*Why?*

*Because I totally blew it that night. I thought that she would just be one of those girls but she's so not and by taking it that far between me and her right away she's never going to trust me.* AJ tried to explain his feelings to Sara and she sighed, slapping her leg.

*Give her time, she's just hurt. She really liked you too but she's been hurt bad before and I know that she doesn't want it to happen again. Earn her friendship before you try for anything else okay? Plus, you still have Dana. Don't you love her?* Sara explained to him, wanting to help him, as she held on to his arm.

*I don't know,* AJ said honestly with a sigh as he put his head in his hands. *I thought so... I mean I did... ahh.* He thought out loud and Sara laughed at him.

*Just don't worry about it so much, let whatever happens happen.* She said getting up. *Come on, help me clean this shit up.* Sara said waving her arm across the room and AJ laughed and got up to help her clean.

Meg woke up around nine o'clock and walked downstairs to the kitchen. *Whoa... hi.* Meg said looking up and seeing AJ in front of the fridge. She thought about what she must look like...

*Oh, hey.* He said turning around and closing the door. Meg rubbed her eyes and groaned, sitting down at the kitchen table. She put her forehead on the palms of her hands and closed her eyes. *Wake up!* AJ yelled in her ear as he poked her side and she screamed, jumping up out of her seat and he started laughing.

*Jerk,* She mumbled, too tired to argue. She started to walk towards the stairs when she felt AJ pick her up. *Ahh! Put me down!* She demanded and he was laughing so hard that she was shaking.

*Let's go out to breakfast... please?* AJ asked, still letting her dangle over his shoulder.

*Only if you put me down right now.* Meg demanded and he set her on her feet. *Let me go take a shower and stuff, okay?* She asked him and he nodded yes. As she walked up the stairs she felt AJ's eyes on her and she turned around. *What is it, exactly, that you're looking at?* She asked him grinning.

*Oh nothing.* He said angelically as he made it obvious he was looking her up and down. She turned around, blushing, and went in the bathroom.

*My god, he's so fine.* She said to herself. ~Don't do this to yourself Meg, he has a girlfriend. You had him for one night, that's it.~ She told herself and then started the shower, letting the water relax her and get her mind off of him.

*She's so cute!* AJ said out loud to no one and then sat down to watch TV. When Meg came downstairs she was wearing some tight light blue bell-bottoms with a dark red t-shirt. Her hair was up in a messy ponytail because she had just gotten out of the shower and she hadn't brushed it yet, which AJ thought was very sexy.

*I'll be ready in one sec.* Meg said walking by him and into the bathroom downstairs. *Okay,* She said five minutes later. Her and AJ walked out to his car and he started driving towards the restaurant. They sat down, ordered drinks, and started talking like they were good friends.

*Won't you get recognized?* Meg asked, the thought popping in her mind.

*Well probably, but I don't care. I would have made you breakfast but I can't cook for shit.* AJ explained and Meg laughed.

*Well I can.* She said proudly. *My dad is a chef so I know everything about everything... well not really, but I know a lot.* Meg explained and he smiled at her. *I kinda wanna be a chef. But I wanna be a lot of other things too.*

*Really? I've always wanted to do something cool... I mean besides singing, which is my dream.* AJ replied as he sat back in his chair.

*So you've always wanted to sing?* Meg asked him, curious about his life.

*Yep sometimes I regret it though... becoming all famous. It sucks ass sometimes. Like now... I'd like to go out with my girl and not worry about being seen and mobbed, ya know?* He explained and she could understand that, everyone wanted privacy.

*But it must pay off... I mean seeing all those people that are in love with you and your music.* Meg said smiling at him.

*Well I don't know about our music, but they are certainly in love with us. It makes me wonder if we were all ugly how many fans would we have? Those would be the true fans...* AJ explained and Meg smiled.

*But you're not ugly... you couldn't be if you tried.* Meg complimented him and he smiled at her. *Except for that one time when your hair was all... fucked up.* She added and they both laughed.

*Oh really?* He asked intrigued.

*Yeah, but do you want my opinion?* She asked.

*Please.*

*I always thought you were really really... were talking amazingly, hot when you shaved your head. There's just something about the way you look... anyway I think it looks real good.* She explained and opened her eyes to see AJ looking at her intently. She blushed and looked down.

*I'll be sure to keep that in mind.* AJ said with a sly smile. *I have a favor to ask... would you want to come on tour with us... or me?* AJ asked and Meg practically coughed up her food, making him chuckle a little.

*Uhm... yeah!* She said as if he just asked her the stupidest favor ever. *But, do you think you'll be able to handle me 24/7?* She asked him grinning and he looked her up and down.

*I know I can.* He said and she blushed again.

*I'll only be able to go for the summer though. Me and Sara are going to college this fall!* Meg said excitedly and he laughed at her and then they finished and AJ took her home.

*Listen were leaving in two days. I know it's kinda short notice, but I'll call you tomorrow.* AJ said in front of Meg's door and she kept feeling like they had just been on a date.

*Thank you for breakfast.* She replied smiling widely and like a little kid. She leaned in and gave him a small hug and then walked inside the house.

*Looks like you and AJ are getting along fine.* Nick said and Meg jumped making him burst out laughing.

*God!* She said putting her hand over her heart as she tried to regain her breath. *Yeah we are... I hope.* She said sitting next to Nick on the couch. *It's gonna be hard though... going on tour and stuff.* She said smiling at him happily.

*I'm glad you decided to come. Now Sara will have something to do.* Nick explained. They watched TV for a while together until Sara came home and then Sara and Nick went upstairs.
