*There's going to be security right?* Ken asked and I looked at him and smiled.

*Yes, one guard at each end of the hallway and of course, there are other men and women all over the hotel.* I explained as the elevator dinged and the doors opened. *Okay...* I said slowly as I looked the piece of paper over with all their room numbers on it. Damnit his room is the last one... I thought to myself. That means you'll have to be alone with him Meagan and then you'll have to ask him... I demanded on myself and I smiled. *Right this way.* I said and they all smiled at me.

*Mr. Carter here is your room.* I said.

*See ya'll in the morning, thank you.* He said as I handed him the key.

*And 308 and 309 are Mr. Richardson and Mr. Dorough's rooms.* I said and pointed to the two rooms which were right across from each other and handed them two the keys.

*Thank you.* Kevin said to me with a little wink and I smiled and moved on down the hall.

And right here are Mr. Littrell's room and Mr. Vassel's room.* I explained and they smiled and thanked me. *Follow me Mr. McLean.* I said and he smiled and followed close behind.

*Oh, I'm the one that has to be the farthest away from everyone.* AJ said sarcastically and I laughed at him.

*Sorry...* I said as I caught myself staring at him again.

*Look, if you want an autograph and you're like too scared to ask... don't be.* He explained and I started laughing as we stopped in front of his door.

*That's not it... it's just well, I think I know you. But... you don't remember me huh?* I asked him with a smile and he laughed.

*Everyone knows me... I'm famous.* He said in a non-egotistical way.

*Nah I mean from before... like two years ago.* I said and he stopped to ponder it as he looked at my face. *Still nothing?* I asked and he sighed and shook his head. *Okay maybe I'm wrong then...* I said as I turned to walk away.

*No, tell me. It might refresh my memory.* He said and I looked at him, feeling like a complete idiot and getting ready to feel even more dumb for not knowing if it was really him or not.

*Well I think you were the kid who was building that house right next to mine like two summers ago... we went miniature golfing and you bought me that movie but your name was Alex...* I explained, giving up hope at the different names.

*Alexander.* He corrected and I looked up at him and by the look on his face I could tell he remembered me. *You did look familiar when we walked in.* He said and I smiled at him.

*I knew it was you!* I said more excitedly and then calmed down. *I can't believe this, look at you...* I said and he smiled at me. *I'm so happy for you.* I added.

*Thank you... we should catch up, maybe go out tomorrow?* AJ asked and I smiled and said sure. I told him I'd see him tomorrow and then I went back downstairs and buzzed Rich to let him know everything went smoothly.

The Next Day

*Ahh I can't believe you have a date with AJ McLean!!* My roommate Nikki said excitedly as she ran around my room searching for something for me to wear.

*It's not a date, I told you. I knew him before he got all-famous and we lost touch.* We're just going out to catch up, that's it.* I said to her and she laughed at me and continued looking through my closet. She ended up picking out a skimpy black dress to show off my cleavage and make him want me. That's what she had said. So I compromised and wore a white collared shirt, a knee length black skirt and strappy platform shoes to make her happy. *Don't get all excited, we're not gonna have sex. I have Erick!!* I said to her and she just shrugged it off, absolutely sure that AJ would fall for me. Nikki and me drove to the hotel in her car because she wanted to meet them and because I wasn't sure when exactly AJ wanted to hang out and I had to do some stuff for my father.

*Hi dad.* I said walking into the office and he smiled at me.

*Hi Nikki.* He replied looking from me to her and she smiled at him politely. *I just need you to go check the security cameras and rewind the tapes and put new ones in, you know how it goes.* He said from his chair behind his desk and I listened intently, making it seem like I wanted to do that, which obviously I didn't. *Oh, and I need you to check with the Backstreet Boys and make sure they have everything they need.* He added and Nikki smiled and started to giggle and he just laughed at her.

*Okay, and then I have plans for the rest of the day, is that okay?* I asked him and he nodded, engrossed in his paperwork again and Nikki and me walked out of the office. I went into the security room with the key I had on my key chain and I did everything he told me to while Nikki waited outside for me.

*Wow Meagan, you look very dressed up. What's the occasion?* Rich asked as he walked into the room and shut the door, seeing me right after.

*Hi.* I said smiling. *I'm going out later today and I'm not that dressed up.* I said looking down at myself quickly and then leaning back over the table to finish looking at and rewinding the tapes.

*Oh okay, well listen I was just wondering if you'd like to go out sometime? To dinner maybe?* He asked me and I slowly turned around with a smile on my face and noticed then how cute he was.

*Like a date?* I asked him and he chuckled a little and then nodded. *Sure... you know where to find me...* I said as I started to walk towards the door that he was standing in front of.

*How about...* He started as he stopped me and put his hands on my sides smiling coyly. *Friday?* He finished and I smiled.

*Okay...* I said softly and he smiled down at my face sweetly. He leaned in and kissed my lips so lightly that I barely felt it and then took his hands off my sides and I walked out the door.

*Okay, who was that?* Nikki asked and I laughed at her as we started walking towards the elevators.

*This guy I work with... he's a manager.* I explained and she smiled.

*He was cute!* She said excitedly. *He looks a little young for a manager.* She added.

*He's 29... he just asked me out.* I told her smiling and she screeched on the elevator and I thanked God that no one was there to hear her.

*No!! Give him to me, you get AJ!! You have to get AJ!* She said practically screaming and when the doors opened there AJ was, looking very strangely at us.

*Oh my god.* I said putting my hands over my face and laughing along with Nikki and he just smiled.

*I was just going to look for you.* He said extending his hand to help me off the elevator and his other to help Nikki and she smiled. *You look great.* He added stopping his train of thought once he saw me and I think I blushed.

*Me too... my dad wanted me to check and see how you guys were doing.* I explained as we walked down the hall with me on one side and Nikki on the other.

*Okay, and then do you wanna go out?* He asked me and I grinned at Nikki and said yes to him. He brought me into each other guy's rooms just to see how they were and to ask if they needed anything and I introduced them all to Nikki.

*Hey, we're going out for lunch. You guys wanna come?* Nick asked AJ, me, and Nikki but AJ declined for us.

*We can't... well I dunno... you wanna go?* AJ asked looking at Nikki and I could tell she was going to burst with happiness and all she could do was nod her head and smile. *Alright, well you can stay here then and I'll take Meg out.* AJ explained to her.

*Oh my god I love you.* Nikki whispered as she hugged me goodbye and I laughed a little and then left with AJ.

*So what was the whole 'you have to get AJ thing?'* AJ asked me as we sat in a quiet restaurant eating lunch and I started laughing.

*Nikki wants me to get with you that's all. but I told her it wasn't a date.* I confirmed and he smiled at me. I kinda wanted it to be a date but then again, I had Erick and AJ was famous. Nothing ever works out the right way

*Oh alright... well I could tell she was excited to go out with Nick.* AJ explained and I smiled.

*She couldn't wait to see you guys, she used to love you.* I explained and he laughed.
