*You're not gay are you?* I asked as me and AJ walked out of a store together. He gave me a weird look and I just gestured down to the one bag I was holding compared to the 5 or 6 bags he was holding and he started laughing.

*I'm not gay.* He replied in a joking tone because he knew I was joking.

*Alright, just checkin. Cause you know, that's a lot of shopping and usually guys don't like to shop and when they do they always complain but you were having fun.* I explained and he looked at me.

*I'm really not gay.* He reassured me again and we both started laughing as he waved down a taxi. We got to his hotel room after I left my bag in my dad's office and sat down in the kitchen and talked for a little while.

*I should get going...* I said as we both stood up and he looked at me with a puppy face. *Aww what's that face for?* I asked him and he laughed.

*I don't want you to leave... watch a movie with me or something.* AJ explained and I smiled and agreed. He was more perfect than I remembered but then I again, I didn't know him well. I don't know him that well now either... oh well. We started watching some random Lifetime movie on TV because there was nothing else on but we were sort of talking throughout the whole thing.

*You want anything to drink or anything?* AJ asked me and I laughed.

*No thanks.* I declined smiling.

*Are you sure? Cuz I can order anything...* He offered politely and I looked at him in a strange way.

*Are you sure you're not gay?* I asked only half joking again and he smiled.

*If I was gay...* He said as he slid closer to me on the couch. *...would I do this and enjoy it?* He finished softly and we both became serious as I looked into his eyes. He kissed my lips softly at first, like a gentleman, and then more passionately until we both finally broke away. *Would I?* He asked again and I opened my eyes.

*Huh?* I asked, my brain had turned into mush with that kiss. I remembered now how he kissed before and how I had thought it was the best kiss of my life and two years later it still was. He laughed at me because I forgot the question but I just smiled and blushed. *Well, I certainly hope you're not gay, for my sake.* I said sarcastically and he laughed at me and put his arms around my waist, hugging me. At that moment I thought to myself how I wished he was in Erick's place. AJ really was perfect... he was sweet and he made me happy. Me and Erick had nothing in common except that he was really hot so I took up his offer when he asked me out. Except AJ was famous... he wouldn't be here when I needed him or to hold me or to make me laugh and that saddened me.

*How long are you staying?* I asked him as we stood at his doorway but he held onto my waist by the belt loops on my skirt, not wanting me to leave as he smiled at me.

*I dunno... you should know.* AJ said and I laughed. He just stood there and stared down at me and I couldn't help but saying what was on my mind.

*You're beautiful...* I complimented and he chuckled a little.

*I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or what?* He replied and I laughed.

*When you stare at me it's like... I don't care if I ever see anything else again because I saw you...* I explained and then started to laugh a little. *Sorry, I'm letting my mind get away with me... I should go.* I said trying to back up but he pulled me tight against his body and kissed me hard.

*I want to see you again.* AJ told me and I smiled against his mouth.

*Me too...* I explained still kissing him, he had the best lips. *I don't wanna leave.* I added and he told me to stay but I really couldn't. *I have a class in the morning...*

*Good, cuz I have something to do in the morning but I really wanna see you tomorrow.* AJ explained.

*You will.* I simply said with a smile. *Bye.* And I waited for him to open the door for me, which was even more gentlemanly, and then I walked out, looking over my shoulder once and smiling at him until I got on the elevator. 

I started thinking about Erick... I shouldn't have kissed AJ but I was going to break up with Erick anyway. Even if me and AJ didn't have a thing I wouldn't be able to be with Erick after this... I decided I'd go home and talk to Erick right away. When I got back to my apartment Nikki still wasn't there so I figured she was with Nick. I changed into sweat pants and a white t-shirt and then sat on the couch and called Erick, asking him to come over.

*Hey.* I said as I opened the door and saw him standing there. I let him in and we sat on the couch together and he gave me a little kiss but I wouldn't let him go any farther. *We need to talk.* I told him and he sighed.

*I know...* He said and I looked at him as he stared at the carpet. He really was cute... he had tan skin, short almost black hair and big brown eyes.

*I just... I don't think this is working out.* I told him and he looked up at me.

*Really?* He asked.

*Don't you feel the same way?*

*Kind of but I wasn't sure how to tell you.* Erick explained and I felt a little better. *Is it someone else?* Ahh the dreaded question.

*Well I did meet someone, but just today.* That was a lie... I met AJ two years ago. *But it really doesn't have anything to do with him... we're just, not meant to be.* I explained and he smiled softly at me.

*I know, but I love you.* Erick said in a tone that I knew he wasn't going to fight, which made me happy.

*I love you too.* I said leaning forward and kissing his lips softly. He stayed and we talked for a while and had dinner together and when he left he told me he'd talk to me soon which made me feel good, like I didn't hurt him.

The next day when I walked into the hotel after my class I saw Callie and smiled at her and walked over to her.

*So how did the date that I covered for you go?* I asked her and she scoffed.

*He was nothing special, but thanks anyway.* She said and I smiled at her as I leaned over the counter and we giggled and talked some more.

*Holy shit...* I said under my breath as I started to laugh. Nikki walked off of the elevator looking all disheveled and there was only one thing running through my mind. *I'll be right back.*

*Hey gorgeous.* I said playfully to her and she jumped as I scared her. *What's uh... with the clothes? And the hair?* I asked her as I pulled at the bottom of her shirt and she slapped my hand and blushed. *I take it you didn't go out last night?* I assumed.

*No, we went to dinner and then came back here and... you know how it goes.* She explained and I wanted to scream.

*Did you have fun?* I asked her smiling.

*Hell yeah... he is so fine.* She explained and I laughed. *Oh!! Did you have fun with AJ? Did he fall in love with you? I bet he did...* Nikki rambled on and I laughed at her.

*Whoa whoa, no need to jump to conclusions. But he did kiss me...* I said to her and she really did scream and everyone around us looked at her.

*That's awesome, I knew it.* She said and I laughed. I told her about Erick and she was excited, she never liked him much. *Are you on your way to see him right now?* She asked me.

*Yeah are you going home?* I asked and she nodded. *I'll see you later.* I called to her as she walked out the front door and I got on to the elevator. I rode it all the way up to AJ's floor and then walked down to his door but when I knocked no one answered.

*Hey?* I heard someone's voice as I started to walk back to the elevator. I turned around and saw Brian's head peeking out of his door but when he saw that it was just me he came all the way out. *Were you lookin for AJ?* He asked me walking up to me and I smiled.

*Yeah, do you know where he is?* I replied but Brian shook his head.

*But he should be back soon... he was excited to see you again.* He explained and I felt like hugging Brian for saying that. *Would you give me the pleasure of your company while you wait for him?* Brian offered as he opened his door and waved me in and I laughed, thanking him. *You want something to drink?* He called from the kitchen and I thanked him but declined. We started watching TV while I waited for AJ and we talked a little bit but not much.

*Did you know that Janet Jackson stayed in this room?* I said to him and he laughed.

*No shit?!* He asked excitedly and I shook my head.

*No shit.* I replied smiling.

*Dude where is sh--.* AJ came bursting through Brian's door and when he saw me he stopped in mid-sentence.

*She's right here.* Brian said as me and him stood up from the couch and I smiled at AJ as he walked over to me and gave me a hug.

*Brian was keeping me company because you weren't around.* I explained to AJ and AJ just looked at me with a look I'd never seen in a man's eyes before.

*Nah... she was the one keeping me company.* Brian complimented. *Dude! Did you know, Janet Jackson stayed in this room??* He said almost jumping up and down and me and AJ laughed at him.
