Two O'clock The Next Day
Meg was on her way to meet AJ at his hotel to find out what his crazy idea was. She didn't know him that well but she knew none of his ideas were ever good. She smiled to herself as she drove through the green light and turned into the parking lot of the hotel, where she still saw a mass of girls who had probably been there a few days. She locked her car doors and started swinging her keys around his finger as she walked towards the crowd. As she started to walk through she was bombarded with questions about her relationship with the boys but she smiled and laughed and made it up to the bodyguards in front of the door. She was about to say something but they just let her through, and she smiled and walked into the almost empty lobby.
*Hey! I've been waiting for you.* She heard AJ yell and turned around and saw him walking towards her excitedly. Meg looked down at her watch to see if she was late but she wasn't, it was 2:02 exactly.
*So what's this idea? And what's with the guy?* Meg asked pointing to the guard at the door. *He just let me walk right in here.* She said and AJ smiled as he put his arm around her shoulders and started to walk with her.
*I told him you were coming at two and I described him to you and he remembered you from before.* AJ explained and Meg let out a long oh.
*Okay, the idea. Tell me!* Meg said happily and AJ opened the door and they walked into an office in the back of the lobby, down the hall.
*Hey Kerry, this Meagan. The one I told you about.* AJ said and Meg looked from him to Kerry and smiled at the older woman, feeling a little uncomfortable. *She's here for the interview.* AJ said and Meg gasped and then coughed, making AJ laugh.
*The what??* She asked once she had her voice back and AJ kept laughing.
*Just helpin out a friend.* AJ said and slapped her on the back softly and then walked out of the room and shut the door.
*Uh...* Meg mumbled, not sure what to say. She didn't even know what she was there for.
*Yeah, AJ told me he didn't tell you about the interview. But he explained your situation to me and I believe I have just the job for you. You popped up at a very opportune time, a young lady about your age just quit.* Kerry explained as she stood up and shook Meg's hand. *Please, sit down.* She said and Meg sat down in front of Kerry's desk.
*Look, I'd really love a job but I don't think I'm qualified to do anything here... I mean, what exactly is the job for?* Meg asked cautiously and Kerry smiled.
*Kind of like a secretary. More like an assistant.* Kerry explained.
*An assistant to who, if I may ask.* Meg said as she fidgeted with her fingers nervously. She looked down at her clothes, she wasn't dressed for an interview, the lady probably already had a bad impression of her. She made a mental note to kill AJ after.
*The boys, of course.* Kerry answered her question and Meg's eyes widened.
*Really?? Oh and this whole time I was thinking you worked for this hotel.* Meg admitted and Kerry smiled and they both laughed.
*Well, would you be interested?* Kerry asked her and Meg smiled, thinking about AJ.
*Of course!* Meg said excitedly.
*That's wonderful. If you don't mind, I just need to ask you some of your references. Not that I think you're not trustworthy but you know how it is.* Kerry explained and Meg laughed nervously. She named off her last three jobs and answered a few other questions. *Okay, well I think this is going to work out very well. I'll give you a call tomorrow and have an answer for you.* Kerry explained with a smile on her face and then shook hands with Meg and showed her out. Meg got on the elevator and went up to AJ's floor and walked down the hall to his room.
*AJ, I can't believe you did--.* Meg started once AJ opened the door but stopped short when she saw a woman on the couch.
*Meg, this is Cate.* AJ said and the girl stood up and walked over to AJ, grabbing his arm and shaking Meg's hand with her other hand. *Cate, this is Meg, the one I was telling you about.* AJ added and Meg smiled back at her. *So how was it?* AJ asked her and Meg just grinned.
*I hate you... look at me! You could have, no you should have, told me so I could've worn something nicer!* Meg scolded him and he laughed as she punched his arm.
*But other then that?* AJ asked and Meg smiled sweetly.
*She pretty much said I got the job, she's gonna call me tomorrow.* Meg explained and AJ congratulated her and gave her a hug.
*So you wanna hang out with us?* AJ asked and Meg remembered that Cate was there. She looked different than Meg pictured AJ's girlfriend would be. She was fairly tall, about 5'6', she had dark hair and eyes and she wasn't a slut, contrary to what Meg had thought.
*Uhm, no. But thanks.* Meg said and he smiled.
*You sure?* He asked her and she nodded.
*Are Tasha and Rachel here?* Meg asked him and he told her that they were in Nick's room. So Meg said goodbye to AJ and Cate, thanked AJ once more, and then walked down to Nick's room and knocked on the door.
*Hey girl, how'd the interview go?* Rachel asked and Meg laughed.
*You knew?* She asked and they all smiled and laughed. Meg sat on the couch where Rachel, Nick and Brian were. *It went good... where's Tasha?*
*In the bedroom.* Rachel said quietly as she pointed to the closed door and Meg started giggling.
*So what's goin on?* She asked them all.
*We were just getting bored and trying to think of something to do.* Brian explained and Meg turned to look at his as he spoke.
*Holy mother you have really nice eyes.* She said and he laughed and thanked her awkwardly. *Well I think we should go bowling.* Meg said and looked around to see all their faces.
*Sounds good with me... can we go?* Nick said looking at Brian.
*I don't see why not, we just have to bring the guys.* Brian said referring to the bodyguards. He stood up and helped Meg up and then Meg went to the closed door.
*We're going bowling, wanna come?* She called and all she heard was moaning. She turned around and made an icky face, making Nick laugh. *Ew.* She said bluntly and then they walked out of the room together. They went bowling at a place that Meg and Rachel knew.
*I'm gonna kick you guys' asses.* Nick said competitively and they all laughed as he threw the first ball. Meg won.
*I can't believe you beat me.* Rachel whined and Meg started laughing.
*Well maybe if you had pants on that you could at least walk in you would have done better.* Meg retorted and Rachel gave her a false look of hurt making her laugh harder.
*I like her pants...* Nick said sticking up for her and she looked at him and smiled.
*Wanna go in the arcade???* Rachel asked him excitedly and he sprang up from his seat at the word arcade and they ran into the other room like kids.
*They are so crazy.* Meg said smiling at Brian.
*Yeah, I definitely didn't think Nick would be into her.* Brian admitted and Meg looked at him. *No offense!! She just doesn't look like his type.* Brian added and Meg laughed at him and sighed.
*Don't worry, I wouldn't date her if I was a guy.* Meg replied and they both smiled at each other.
*Hey do you wanna go out sometime... like alone?* Brian asked her and she looked into his beautiful eyes and started laughing quietly. *What? I'm not that repulsive am I?* Brian asked her and she laughed harder.
*No, of course not. You're sexy. I was just thinking about how I said that thing about your eyes... I was a little hyper.* Meg explained and Brian nodded. *I'd love to go out with you.* She added and AJ's face popped into her head then. But why should she waste her time waiting for him when he already had a girl? They stood up together and walked to the arcade to find Nick and Rachel.
