AJ was on tour then and Meg was at home with Isabelle. They hadn't really decided on anything, like they thought they would. He just left one day and that was it. He called every day and he seemed like he really missed them but Meg wondered if that was enough. It certainly wasn't the same.

*Dadda!* Isabelle called out as she saw AJ on TV and Meg laughed, surprised that she recognized him on the TV. She was turning out to be a real daddy's girl... she looked exactly like AJ. She had black, curly hair, and her nose and mouth were exactly like AJ's. The only feature she had of Meg's so far were her blue eyes. Meg thought to herself that she was glad she told AJ about Isabelle because if she hadn't he still would've been able to figure it out by looking at her.

*That's it.* Meg said seeing how happy Isabelle was to see her dad. She picked her up and brought her into the kitchen as she dialed Sara's cell phone.

*What's up girl??* Sara asked excited to hear from Meg.

*I want to come out there and surprise AJ for a couple days. Can you help me out?* Meg asked her and she agreed, happy to be able to see her friend too. They decided that Meg would meet up with them at a hotel in Canada in two weeks, and Sara was going to keep it a secret.

Two Weeks Later

*Hey baby,* AJ said as Meg answered the phone at her house.

*Hey,* She said happily. *How are you?*

*Fine, I miss you though.* AJ sighed, blowing her a kiss through the phone.

*Me too. Isabelle and me were watching you on TV today and she recognized you, it was so cute.* Meg said and AJ laughed.

*I gotta bounce baby, I love you.* He said. *Give her a kiss for me.* AJ added.

*Okay, love you too.* Meg said and then hung up, feeling weird. Later that day she got on a plane to Canada and was there in about five hours. She walked into the lobby of the hotel where Sara was going to meet her and where the guys were staying, most likely, and noticed it was only 7 PM. Her plane had been a little early and instead of Sara she saw Nick there and she walked over to him with Isabelle in her arms and hugged him.

*Hey...* He said not surprised to see her. Sara had most definitely told him. *She's so big...* Nick said looking at Isabelle and putting his finger inside her palm.

*I want to surprise AJ, is he here?* Meg asked and Nick's smile faded a little for a minute.

*Yeah,* Nick said. ~He's with another girl...~ He thought but didn't say anything. He had to think fast, he didn't want Meg to see that and she didn't deserve it. He remembered earlier that day when he tried to get AJ to change his mind.

*AJ, uhm, what are you doing?* Nick asked, pulling AJ away from the girl he was with.

*Nothing, don't worry about it. It's not your problem.* AJ said quietly.

*What?!* Nick asked, appalled by what his best friend just said. *What about Meg?*

*She's not here!* AJ yelled but quieted down, not wanting to make a scene. *I love her with all of my heart and Isabelle but shes not here. I can't be alone.* AJ explained and walked back over to the girl he was with, smiling at her.

*What room is he in?* Meg asked him and her smiled faded as she watched Nick's eyes.

*166...* He mumbled and Meg walked over to the elevator, followed by Nick.

*I don't think you want to go in there.* Nick said as they walked off the elevator and down the hall to AJ's door.

*Why?* Meg asked him, getting scared and he could tell. She handed Isabelle to him, getting ready for whatever she had to do.

*Meg... please...* Nick begged, standing in front of the door. She pushed him out of the way and opened the door, seeing AJ and Dana in bed together.

This Is About Where I Left Off

*Oh my god...* She said losing her breath and falling against the door, shutting it, Nick was waiting down by the elevator.

*AJ what is this?* Meg asked walking in on her long-term boyfriend and his ex girl in bed together.

*Oh my god... Meg...* AJ said quickly getting out of bed and putting some pants on. He walked over to her and put his hands on her arms.

*No, don't touch me.* She said with tears in her eyes as she backed up towards the door.

*Baby wait. Listen to me!* He yelled as she ran down the hall and on to the elevator.

*You were covering for him!* She yelled at Nick as she took Isabelle from him.

*Meg--.* Nick started.

*No, don't talk to me.* She said as tears started streaming down her face and she walked on to the elevator.

*MEG!* AJ yelled running towards the elevator.

*No, back off!* Nick said pushing AJ as the doors shut. *You've done enough. I don't know why I covered for you but now I lost a friend too so just fuck off! Or better, go fuck that slut.* Nick said pushing AJ again on to the floor and walking down the hall towards his room. AJ walked back to his room and couldn't go in so he just sat on the floor against the wall with his knees up and his hands over his face.

*AJ...* Dana asked walking out the door.

*Get away from me.* He said pushing her hand off of his shoulder.

*Fine, fuck you too then.* She said coldly. *You know you're never going to get her back so you might as well deal with it and come back to me. You always do.* She said slamming the door to his room but it didn't affect AJ as he put his head back in his hands and let a few tears slip on to his knees.

*Meg wait, please.* Nick said catching up with her in the lobby because he ran down the stairs.

*Why should I? No one wants me here.* She said not turning around, she didn't want him to see her crying.

*I want you here. I know AJ's an asshole and he doesn't deserve to be forgiven but he really does love you.* Nick explained. *I'm ashamed that I was covering for him but I just really didn't want you to get hurt. You deserve to be treated with more respect... I'm sorry.* Nick said to her and she turned around and he took her in his arms, not pulling her too tight so he wouldn't squish Isabelle.

*Thanks...* She whispered. *Could you do me a favor and take Isabelle so I can get outta here for a little while?* She asked him and he smiled, taking Isabelle in his arms.

*Are you gonna be okay?* He asked her.

*Yeah...* Meg said walking out of the hotel and she saw Sara getting out of a taxi.

*Hey girl!! Your plane was early!* She yelled running over to her and as she got closer to hug her she realized everything was not okay and her smiled faded. *What's wrong?* She asked and Meg broke down as she hugged Sara tightly. *Alright, we're goin out...* Sara said paying the taxi driver and started walking down the street with her arm around Meg. They walked into a little café and sat down, ordering something to drink, so they could talk.

*So tell me what happened?* Sara asked quietly. There weren't many people in the little café and it was pretty quiet which Meg needed.

*I came to surprise AJ. And I saw Nick in the lobby so he walked up to the room with me but he kept trying to get me to change my mind, like he didn't want me to go in or something.* Meg said sniffling. She had gotten over the crying part but her eyes were all red and her nose was stuffy. *So I walked into the room... and he was fucking Dana.* She said clenching the napkin that she had on her lap as new tears streamed down her face.

*Oh my god,* Sara said not being able to believe it and she leaned over the table to hug Meg. *I can't believe he'd do that, you and Isabelle are all he talks about.* She said sitting back and sighing. *Where is Isabelle anyway?* She asking, wondering if changing the subject would be good for Meg.

*With Nick.* Meg replied wiping her eyes. *How are you guys?*

*Really good.* Sara didn't want to get into it now with Meg, it would only make her feel worse about AJ, but her and Nick had gotten engaged a couple weeks ago. Meg spotted the ring on her finger though and lifted her hand and then looked at Sara. *Yeah,* Sara said, confirming Meg's thoughts and Meg smiled happily and hugged her friend.

*I'm so happy for you guys.* The girls talked for a little while longer and Sara made Meg laugh, knowing that's what she wanted and they started walking back to the hotel about 30 minutes later.

*You can stay in my room.* Sara said and Meg thanked her as they were on the elevator. They walked into her room and saw Nick playing with Isabelle on the floor.

*Can we have one of these??* Nick asked as if he was playing with a video game and the girls laughed at him out loud.

*We'll see,* Sara said kissing him softly. She pulled Nick into the kitchen and Meg took Isabelle. *Meg is going to stay in our room okay?* Sara asked playing with the ring on his finger.

*Yeah, I think I'm gonna go stay with AJ anyway... I don't want him to do anything stupid. He was really fucked up when Meg left... I wish he wasn't so stupid.* Nick sighed, hugging Sara and knowing that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

*I know... he really loves her.* She added as she held on to him.

~How can he love me if he did that to me?~ Meg asked herself as she heard Sara and Nick talking. *He's so not fair.* Meg said looking at Isabelle and admiring her innocence. She didn't have any idea what was going on and she didn't have to deal with it... well not now anyway.

*Hey, I have an idea.* Sara said walking back out of the kitchen. *There's a daycare in the hotel, downstairs. We could leave Isabelle for a little bit and go to a club or something?* Sara suggested.

*I want to go, but I'm not leaving my baby with someone I don't know.* Meg said standing up.

*We could leave her with AJ?* Sara said not sure how Meg would react.

*Okay, so where's this daycare?* Meg asked, straightening her clothes.

*Meg, he is her dad. And he hasn't seen her in a while. I think it'd be a good idea... plus I know you don't trust him as a boyfriend but you have to admit, he's a really good father to her.* Sara explained. *Nick's gonna be there!* She added just to reassure Meg.

*Fine, will you bring her over? I don't feel like seeing him right now.* Meg asked handing her to Sara.

*Oh sure,* Sara said hugging Isabelle lightly and making her giggle. She left and Meg changed into tight, light blue jeans, black boots, a tan tank top, and put her hair in a ponytail and then did her make-up.

*Damn girl, I hate you.* Sara said looking at Meg. *I hope I can get my figure back as fast as you when I have a baby.* She explained and Meg laughed, feeling like she wanted to cry because of AJ but she didn't want to think of him now.

*AJ! Come take her. She doesn't like me!* Nick yelled as Isabelle cried and AJ walked out of his bedroom and picked her up.

*Hey baby,* AJ said soothingly. *Daddy loves you... shh...* He lulled her as he rubbed his nose against hers and she stopped crying and rested her head on his shoulder. *Man I can't do this.* AJ said quietly, walking back and forth, trying to keep her quiet.

*Do what?* Nick asked, cocking his head to the side.

*What is my problem? Why did I do that to her?* AJ asked, more to himself then Nick, not expecting an answer back. *I always fuck things up. Meg is the only girl that I love... how come I can't say no to Dana??* AJ asked getting frustrated as he stroked Isabelle's hair.

*AJ I just...* Nick said trying to think of what to say to comfort his friend. *I think everything happened too fast for you. I know if I were you I wouldn't have been able to hold out that long. Fuckin Dana was wrong and you know that. You just have to find a way to get Meg back and to trust you when you say you only want her and you won't do it again...* Nick said. *You better think of a damn good way.* He added with a smirk and AJ grinned sarcastically at him.

*Yeah, but she hates me and doesn't want to talk to me... it'll be hard.* AJ said rubbing his forehead as he walked into his room and laid Isabelle on the middle of his bed, sitting on the side.

*Hey, have faith. She at least trusts you with your daughter.* Nick added, trying to cheer him up and AJ agreed. He went into the kitchen and got a bottle for Isabelle.

*And what about Dana?* AJ asked looking at Nick as he warmed the bottle up and Nick shrugged.
