Meg walked into the bakery at 7:07 am. As she walked through the door AJ looked up and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. He stared as her long, curly blonde hair flowed over her shoulders and as she pushed her sunglasses to the top of her head he caught a glimpse of her pretty blue eyes and her long eyelashes. Meg looked over at him and saw him looking at her so she smiled at him and walked the rest of the way to the counter. AJ stood up, straightening out his shirt... Today was the day, he thought.

~I've seen her every morning. Ive woken up at 6:30 just to see her and I'm going to talk to her.~ AJ told himself as he heaved a sigh. ~I can't...~ He changed his mind and turned around towards the wall. AJ changed his mind once again but as he turned around to speak he saw the end of her long jacket whisking out the door. He ran outside but there were so many people that he couldn't find her. He searched around for a second and then walked back inside to get his jacket and hat.

*Fuck... you have no fuckin guts McLean.* AJ mumbled to himself as he threw his hat on and put his sunglasses on, hoping not to get recognized. ~All these girls want you and you can't even speak to the one you want.~ AJ walked to the library a couple blocks from the bakery and inside, up to the third floor. He saw Meg and another woman who she worked with laughing and giggling while working on the computer.

*Hey, beautiful.* AJ said putting his hands on the counter and flashing her his well-known smile. Meg and the other girl laughed.

*Can I help you?* Meg asked smirking.

*Yeah... with yourself.* AJ said rubbing his hands together and looking at her. Meg's friend got the idea.

*I'll be over there... By the books.* She said and laughed because the library was full of books.

*Now Mr?...* Meg said raising her eyebrows.

*Mr. McLean. What can I get for you? Are you looking for a certain book?* Meg asked walking out from behind the counter. AJ raised his hand to his goatee as he looked Meg over.

*No, not really. Would you go out with me?* AJ asked bluntly and Meg laughed.

*I tell you what,* Meg said walking close to AJ. She put her hand on his chest and felt him tense up. *Spend a couple more mornings in the bakery and then come back and I'll think about it.* She whispered and then turned around and walked away, leaving AJ dumbfounded.

*Damn,* He whispered as he walked away. AJ still continued to go to the bakery Monday through Friday to see Meg and she knew it.

AJ was in his hotel room with a girl, a fan; he had hooked up with after the concert. He was on top of her, both their naked bodies entwined, as they made out. *Have dinner with me. Please?* AJ asked, taking his sunglasses off.

*Mr. McLean--.* Meg started again but he cut her off again.

*AJ. And I won't take no for an answer.* He said smiling and raising one eyebrow.

*AJ as in...* Meg said reaching over and taking his white baseball hat off. *Ohh... now I get it. You think you can get any girl because you're rich and famous, huh?* Meg said crossing her arms with his hat in her hand. *Has a girl ever declined your invitation to dinner before?* She asked.

*No,* AJ said about to start laughing and he reached over and took his hat from her, putting it back on. *Look, now I'm not famous. I'm just rich and I can take you out on a real date.* He said grinning and Meg let a smile cross her lips.

*Fine...* She said as if she were disappointed in herself. *When?*

*Friday night. I'll come pick you up if you want at eight.* AJ suggested.

*I'll meet you there.* Meg said not liking the thought of a total stranger knowing where she lives. He told her where and when and then he left.

Meg-Friday

*I have a date with that stalker guy tonight.* Meg said laughing as she tried to find something to wear.

*He is hot! And I think it's cute that he does that.* Her friend Jen said.

*Wait, he stalks you?* Her roommate Alyssa asked and all three girls laughed.

*He's a Backstreet Boy.* Meg said, pulling a shirt over her head. They talked a little longer and then Meg left in a cab to go to the restaurant. Meg met AJ and they sat down together. They both talked over dinner and got to know each other better and by the end of the night Meg had become very attracted to him. She let AJ take her home in his limousine and walk her to her door.

*I'm really happy I decided to go out with you.* Meg confessed, letting the wine she had consumed control her. AJ smiled and took her hand.

*Not as happy as me.* He replied and Meg looked at the ground and blushed. *I want to kiss you but I'm thinking you're gonna think it's too fast.* AJ said and they both laughed. She smiled at him and after a minute of looking at each other he leaned in and kissed her lips softly. AJ's hands found the sides of Meg's face and he kissed her gently, backing her up against the door. A moan escaped her lips and finally AJ pulled away.

*Whoa...* He whispered as he looked at her lips and then her eyes.

*Yeah...* Meg sighed as she touched her lips. *I didn't know anyone could kiss that good.* She added and then they both smiled. *Want to come in?* AJ accepted and they both walked through the door together to her apartment. Meg offered AJ some wine and told him she would be right back. She walked into her roommate's room and Alyssa was with Jen and Tasha.

*He's here? I wanna see!!* Alyssa said and the three girls hustled out of the room and into the living room, followed by Meg.

*Hi, I'm Jen. This is Alyssa and Tasha.* Jen said shaking AJ's hand while Tasha looked at Meg and started fanning herself, trying to say he was hot.

*Kay, leave.* Meg said and the girls frowned and said goodbye to AJ, going back into Alyssa's room. *Sorry.* Meg apologized and AJ smiled and told her it was okay. He took her wine glass and set both his and her's down and then kissed her passionately. She felt his hands at her shoulders as he pushed her jacket off and then his hands were on her sides. Meg rested her hands on his chest and AJ's hands roamed up her chest.

*Mmm...* Meg said pulling away. *We might be moving too fast...* She whispered lowering her face to look at the floor.

*Alright you're just so beautiful. Forgive me.* AJ said kissing her neck and smiling against her skin.
