*Well... now that you have me here what are you going to do with me?* I asked him as I sat in a big cushioned chair and he sat on a stool at the bar.
*That's a very good question...* He replied as he we stared at each other. *Do you want something to drink?* He asked as he walked behind the bar and I said sure, not moving from the chair. He fixed me a drink and then brought it over to me and watched me drink it and I laughed.
*You don't drink?* I asked him and he shook his head no. *Then I don't wanna drink... let's do something we both can do!* I said putting my drink on the floor and standing up.
*You're very hyper for one in the morning...* He said and I laughed.
*I know. It's because I'm really happy that I'm with you... that you wanted to see me.* I explained and he smiled and pulled me to him, kissing me softly.
*I know something we can both do.* He whispered as he pushed his pelvis against me and I started laughing, ruining the moment and making him laugh too. We decided to watch a movie so we sat on the couch all snuggled up together, watching Life As A House because it was one of my favorite movies.
*He is hot.* I said about Hayden Christensen and grinned at AJ.
*I met him ya know... he's not all that.* AJ explained and I backed away to look at him.
*You met him?* I asked and he just laughed and nodded. *Oh, laugh away. No big deal for you, you meet famous people every day!* I said and he laughed harder. *Did you touch him? What do you mean he's not all that?* I asked and laughed at myself.
*Yeah we shook hands and he's just kinda... snobby. Plus I'm hotter, in every way.* AJ said in a self centered tone but I just smiled.
*I know... I can't believe I'm actually with you and you want me.* I said softly as I leaned against his arm. He kissed my forehead and ran his fingers along my arm as we finished the movie.
*Wanna go cause trouble?* I asked after the movie was over and he smiled at me.
*It's three in the morning... I want breakfast.* AJ explained and I laughed standing up with him.
*You eat breakfast at three in the morning?* I asked him, wrapping my arms around his neck and biting his chin gently and he smiled.
*Well, somewhere in the world, someone's eating breakfast. Therefore, it's always breakfast time.* He explained and I laughed as we headed for the door and then to the elevator.
*That's a good philosophy ya got there.* I complimented and he laughed out loud. *You have an awesome laugh.* I told him and he looked at me seriously. *It's so... real.*
*Thank you.* He whispered as he kissed my lips softly and then the elevator doors opened. We started walking towards the hotel café but I stopped him.
*Let's go out for breakfast... I'll take you somewhere I bet you've never been!* I told him and he laughed.
*We can't... I'm not allowed to leave.* He explained and I pouted for a second while I thought and held on to his hand.
*We'll go out the back way.* I suggested and he laughed.
*There'll be people out there too...* He countered and I begged him as I tugged on his sleeve.
*Come on!!* I yelled as I pulled him out of the lobby and we ran through the doors and hallways until we came to the back entrance. *Okay, put my sweatshirt on...* I said and he laughed as I took it off. It was just a plain gray sweatshirt with a design that said tidal on the back and a hoodie.
*You'll freeze!* He yelled and I shushed him, both of us trying not to burst out in laughter. *Take this.* He said taking his long sleeve shirt off, seeing that I was only wearing a tank top and I thanked him. Once he had my sweatshirt on and I had his shirt on I pulled the hood over his head and we opened the door.
*Excuse me, you're not supposed to be--oh, sorry Meagan.* One of the hotel security guards said as I looked at him and smiled. He let me and AJ go and we walked out without any of the girls realizing it was AJ because he tried to keep his head down the entire time. We ran out to the front and stood beside the street, laughing hysterically until we could control ourselves.
*Oh my god, your shirt smells so good.* I said and he laughed and I pulled the collar up to my nose and inhaled it. We started walking down the lit street for about 20 minutes, just talking and laughing. There were still a lot of people out, considering it was New York City but it was a good part of town and there were no weirdos. I felt safe with AJ anyways. *We're here!* I said standing in front of a little diner on the corner of a street. I pulled him by the hand in with me and he took his hood off as we walked up to the counter. We ordered our food and split the cost and then went over and sat down while they were cooking it.
*This is cute, a little small.* AJ said and I laughed.
*Yeah, well you're used to eating in fancy restaurants and having room service and shit...* I explained and he laughed and kissed me softly. He walked over to get our food and we sat there and talked while we ate.
*You know you'd think I'd have more freedom being famous and rich and stuff but really I don't... I have less freedom.* AJ explained and I looked at him.
*I guess but only when you're on tour right?* I asked him and he shook his head.
*I have rules, just like the rest of the guys, when I'm at home. Sometimes it just sucks... sometimes I wanna go to college and get an apartment, and a real job...* He said laughing. *And worry about money!* He added and I coughed and looked at him like he was crazy.
*What's wrong with you? Worrying about money is not fun, at all!* I said and he laughed.
*Well... you know what I mean.* AJ replied and I nodded in agreement.
*I'd never wanna be famous...* I said and he didn't believe me. *I like my life the way it is... yeah I'd like more money but I wouldn't want to sacrifice my lifestyle and my personal life to get it... then again, I don't love singing, or painting or anything like that.* I explained and he smiled.
*You're so beautiful right now... I wish I could just stay in this moment forever.* AJ explained to me as he sat back in his chair and just looked at me.
*Ha, you can't, I can.* I teased, turning it into a joke because I felt it getting serious and I couldn't deal with that. I didn't want him to say anything like he wanted to be with me or something, I couldn't handle that. I wouldn't know what to say. After we ate breakfast it was almost 4 and we weren't sure what to do but AJ told me he didn't want to go back to the hotel.
*Okay, well I can show you this place...* I said and he laughed.
*This place, cool.* AJ replied and I smiled and told him I couldn't tell him. We waved down a taxi and I told the driver where to go.
*Alright lift me up.* I said to AJ and he laughed.
*This is a little creepy, we're in an alley in the middle of the night, almost morning...* AJ said as I stepped on to his hands and he lifted me up far enough so I could pull a ladder down. *Where are we going?* He asked and I smiled and told him he'd have to wait and see. We climbed up the ladder, me first and then him and then up two flights and into the broken window. In the dark all you could really see was that the room was covered in white sheets, and very dusty. I grabbed on to AJ's hand to steady myself so I didn't trip as I felt around on the floor for the flashlight I always left there.
*Ah, got it!* I said excitedly and turned it on, flashing it around the room for AJ to see.
*What is it?* AJ asked following the beam of light around with his eyes.
*I don't know... some kind of storage warehouse thing...* I explained. The room was cluttered with dust and boxes and sheets covering objects.
*How'd you find this place?* AJ asked, obviously fascinated, as he walked around.
*My mom showed me...* I said quietly as I smiled and watched AJ roam around.
*How'd she find it?*
*I don't know...* I said, my thoughts running off with me and he could tell because he stopped and looked at me.
*What?* He asked walking over to me and kissing me softly.
*My mom died a couple years ago so this place is really special to me. I've never shown it to anyone...* I admitted with a smile on my face and he just looked down at me for a while.
*Can we look under these?* AJ asked walking over to an object covered with a sheet.
*I don't see why not.* I said and he laughed and took it off quickly.
*Oh my god...* We both said and looked at each other. It was an original painting that was very articulate and old. We found all sorts of things under the sheets that I had never bothered to look at before.
*Meg, this is amazing...* AJ said pulling the sleeves up on my sweatshirt that he was wearing and I smiled from my seat on the floor as I watched him intently. We stayed in the warehouse until 5:30 and then we figured we better go back before people started waking up so we walked outside on to the fire escape. *You're just a regular, law-abiding citizen huh?* AJ asked as he pushed the ladder back up and I laughed at him as we ran out of the alley and on to the main street together. We snuck around to the back of the hotel again and the guard on duty, a different one, let me back in with my mysterious guest. We decided to take the stairs up to his room to avoid any unwanted contact with someone on the elevators and we finally made it to his room and shut the door behind us, breathing hard.
*Damn stairs...* AJ said breathing heavily and I laughed.
*Yeah, you exercise every day... it couldn't have been that hard.* I said totally out of breath as I laid on his bed. He stood in front of me until I pulled him down next to me and we fell asleep on top of the covers, with his arms around me and me in his shirt and him in mine.
