Chapter Eight

About a Month Later
I walked onto me and Nikki's bus and didn't see any of them up front so I figured they were all in the back.
*Hey,* I said as I saw everyone crammed on to the couch and the chair and floor, watching a movie.
*Hi!* Brian said holding out his hands for me to walk into. I walked over to him sitting on the couch and sat in between his legs as he kissed my neck. Everyone knew about us now.
*What are you watching?* I asked them.
*A movie duh.* Nick replied smiling at me and I threw a pillow at him.
*I have to go, I just remembered. Come say bye to me out there.* Brian whispered to me and we both got up to leave.
*Oooh la la.* AJ said as we walked out of the room holding hands, and we just ignored him.
*He's such a goofball.* I said as I sat at the stool that was by the kitchen. Brian walked over to me, standing in between my legs and put his forehead to mine. *What's wrong?* I asked him kissing his lips softly.
*I have to go pick up Leigh Anne now.* He said sighing. *I'm afraid to tell her. I mean, she doesn't deserve what I am doing to her.* Brian said with his forehead still to mine.
*Oh,* I said leaning back. I didn't know what to say. *Listen Brian,* I said holding his face in between my hands so he would look at me. *If you don't feel comfortable with what we have well...* I said looking at him.
*No! No, that's not it at all.* Brian said stopping me. *Meagan, you know this is what I want. I want to be with you.* He added, now his hands were holding my face. *Look at me,* He said; I had been avoiding his gaze. I was afraid that this wasn't what he wanted. I slowly shifted my gaze so that I was staring into his deep blue eyes. I could've, and would've, gotten lost in them if it weren't for his voice that brought me back to reality. *I need you in my life.* He said. There was a silence for a while; neither of us knew what to say.
*You want to take a walk?* I asked him and he took my hand, leading me off the bus.
*Meagan.* He said stopping me a little ways away from the bus. *I don't know how to say this,* Brian said sighing. I felt overwhelmed with tears from the thoughts I was thinking. What if he was trying to tell me that he couldn't break it off with Leigh Anne? That he didn't want to? Soon a tear fell from my eye and he looked at me. *Why are you crying?* He asked suddenly, a worried tone in his voice.
*I don't know.* I said turning around so I wasn't facing him.
*What did you think? That I was going to break up with you?* He asked me and I looked at him and he realized that's exactly what I thought. *Oh baby, oh that's so not what I was going to say.* He said smiling.
*Then why can't you just say it? Usually you can tell me anything.* I said looking at him and he smiled down at me, kissing my nose and rubbing a tear off of my cheek.
*I was trying to tell you,* He said hesitating for a minute as he stared at me. *That I love you.* He added and I just smiled widely.
*I'm so happy that you said that and not the other thing!* I said jumping on him and hugging him tightly. He laughed at me. *I love you too.* I whispered in his ear and then I jumped off of him, still holding his hands.
*Well, I should go.* Brian said. *One more thing,* He said turning around to look at me again. I just waited for him to tell me. *I hope you won't be mad if Leigh Anne is all like...* Brian said.
*Lovey? No I won't be mad, and I won't be mad if you kind of just act like we're cool.* I said and he smiled.

*You're so...* He said putting his hands on my waist. *You're perfect.* He added and kissed me softly, and then he left for the airport. I walked back onto the bus and ran in the back.
*AJ AJ AJ!!* I screamed and AJ stood up fast.
*I didn't do it!* He yelled and then realized it was me. I just laughed at him as I pulled him out of the room.
*He told me he loved me.* I said quietly but happily and AJ just smiled at me.
*I'm happy for you, you guys make a good couple.* AJ said and hugged me.
*You have no idea how happy I am.* I said, almost shaking. *I love you!* I said to him and he smiled.
*I love you too baby.* He replied and kissed my forehead, still hugging me.
*He said I was perfect.* I said dreamily and I felt AJ smiled down on me. *You're the best friend I've ever had.* I said looking up at him.
*You're my best friend too.* AJ replied looking me in the eye and I just smiled at him. We went back into the room and finished watching the movie. A couple hours later we were at the hotel that we were staying at for a few days. This time I decided to stay in a room with AJ, it was his idea. Nikki and Kevin had a little thing going on and they decided to share a room too. We were all downstairs at the pool when Brian and Leigh Anne walked in. He smiled over at me and then sat down with AJ, Nick, and me; everyone else was swimming.
*How was your flight?* AJ asked Leigh Anne.
*It was really good. But I was so happy to be back with my baby.* She replied kissing his lips and suddenly I felt a lot of eyes on me, as if they were sorry for me. *Hi Meagan.* Leigh Anne said to me and I just smiled over at her. *How are you?* She asked me. Why was she being so nice to me?
*I'm fine, how are you?* I asked her and she replied that she was fine also.
*You know, we should go out tonight. Just me and you.* Leigh Anne said and my mouth almost dropped open.
*Uhm, sure if you want to.* I said looking to her and then to Brian who just gave me a confused look.
*Yeah we could go shopping or something.* She said I just smiled.
*Well in that case, why don't we all get dressed and then we can eat dinner before you two head out.* AJ said smiling at me and we all agreed. We got everyone out of the water and walked up to our rooms, saying we'd meet downstairs in 30 minutes.
*What the hell was that about?* I said more to myself as AJ and me walked into our room.
*I have no fuckin clue but you better watch out. I'm sure she has something planned.* AJ said laughing and I laughed with him. I took a shower after AJ and then we got dressed and went to meet everyone downstairs. We ate dinner, talking about normal stuff; well as normal as you can get with the Backstreet Boys. After that Leigh Anne and me decided to go out so we left the table. I looked back at Brian giving him a help me look but he just smiled at me, as if he was enjoying watching me suffer and I stuck my tongue out at him.
*Okay,* Leigh Anne said as we got out of the cab we had taken.
*Wow,* I said looking up. We were at Donna Karen New York. *I never knew she had her own store.* Leigh Anne laughed at me as we walked in.
*Listen Meagan, I've been meaning to talk to you.* Leigh Anne said and I looked at her. *At first I thought you were going after Brian and that's why I didn't really like you and I acted like a bitch.* She said and I smiled at her.
*Oh, well why did you think that?* I asked her.
*I don't know, I'm paranoid. But anyway, now that I know you're with AJ I'm not worried anymore, and I wanted to say I'm sorry for acting the way I did.* She said and I kinda just looked at her, thinking about what she just said. She thought I was with AJ? Should I play along?
*Oh, well yeah. We hooked up while you were gone.* I said to her smiling. *I love him.*
*Good,* She said smiling and sighing. I smiled back at her and then we continued shopping. You know, for someone who has a reputation for being a total bitch, she was actually really sweet. Which made me feel even guiltier for loving Brian. I felt that it was my fault that him and me were together, that he cheated on Leigh Anne. If I hadn't come on this stupid tour he would still be with her, and everything would be fine. We got back late; I had gone all out and spent a lot of the money I had brought. I got into the hotel room and AJ was asleep on the couch, with the t.v. on. I walked over, turned the t.v. off and covered him up with a blanket. Then I went into my room and fell asleep.
