A Couple Months Later
Meg and AJ seemed closer and happier. They still couldn't be intimate... well AJ couldn't anyway, and Meg was starting to show. She was about 5 months pregnant now. They had stopped going to the therapist after two months because they decided that she wasn't really helping them. AJ wasn't talking to Brian, which was understandable, but it was really difficult with them having to be around each other almost everyday. Alex was 5 and starting school soon.
*AJ I don't want him to go. He's so much fun.* Meg whined to AJ while Alex got dressed. He had insisted on dressing himself and when he walked down the stairs Meg laughed. *You want to wear that?* She asked him. *Baby, you don't match.* She said straightening out his shirt.
*I do too!!* He argued and Meg backed off smiling.
*Alright, come on.* She said handing him his little backpack. She kissed AJ goodbye and got into the car with Alex to drive him to school. Meg got out of the car with Alex as she stopped in front of the school. *Have a good day.* She said kissing his cheek.
*Mom!!* He said squirming out of her grip and she laughed. He smiled at her and then ran up the steps and through the front doors of the school.
*AJ I just had an idea.* Meg said walking into the living room and jumping on the couch next to him. *Ugh, I'm so fat.* She added lifting her shirt over her belly button and staring at the small bulge in her stomach.
*You're beautiful.* AJ said leaning down and kissing her stomach all over softly. *I hope we have a girl this time.* He said and Meg smiled. Although they didn't say anything, they both secretly hoped that it was AJ's, never mind if it was a girl or boy. *So what was your idea?* He asked looking at her.
*I think we should take Alex and go visit my parents... he hasn't seen them in four years.* Meg explained and AJ looked at her surprisingly.
*I thought you weren't talking to them?* AJ asked. *What made you want to go up there?*
*No, they weren't talking to me. I thought they were pissed off but my mom called the other day and... she's not.* Meg said shrugging her shoulders and smiling.
*That's good but did you tell her that you're having another baby?* AJ asked her and her smile faded. *Maybe we should wait until you have the baby and then all four of us can go up there... does that sound good?* He suggested and Meg smiled.
*Yeah,* She replied kissing him softly. *So Alex didn't even want to kiss me!* She said after a minute and AJ laughed.
*I should've gone.* He said and Meg smiled at him. *Oh hey, do you still want to go to school? I mean, obviously after the baby.* AJ said and Meg sighed, looking sad.
*I don't see how I can... I'll have to stay and watch over the baby for at least a year... we'll figure something out.* Meg said. *Do you think we should wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl or find out today?* Meg asked AJ taking his hand as he flipped through the channels. She had an appointment at the doctors today and he was taking her.
*Hmm...* He said flipping over to face her. *I think we should wait. Did you wait or find out right away with Alex?* He asked her.
*I waited...* Meg replied. *What do you want to name it?* She asked him. Things kept popping into her head and she just asked him everything.
*I don't know, I haven't thought about it.* He said.
*Well I have,* Meg said sitting up and he laughed. *I like the name Sicily for a girl and Hayden for a boy. What do you think?* She asked him grinning.
*Yeah I like those... I don't know about Hayden but I like Sicily.* AJ replied and Meg pouted.
*What names do you like then?* She asked him and he thought to himself for a little bit.
*I really don't know but I'll think about it.* He said looking at his watch. *We gotta go.* He told her and they got ready and then drove to the hospital.
A couple nights later Meg and AJ were sitting up in their bed at about 11 PM.
*AJ I was thinking...* Meg said playing with her fingers. AJ knew that when she played with her fingers she was really shy about something. *Do you think we should tell Brian?*
*What?* AJ asked surprised at how loud his voice was. *Why the fuck should we tell him? He's a fucking liar and not my friend.* AJ explained getting frustrated.
*No AJ come on I think he should know just in case...* She said trailing off, not wanting to say that her baby might belong to Brian and not AJ. It was quiet for a while, AJ was obviously thinking about what to say.
*Fine we're gonna be at Brian's this weekend working on some songs... we can tell him after everyone leaves.* AJ explained, sighing. Meg agreed that that was a good idea and laid down next to AJ.
*Hey...* She whispered putting her hand on his face and forcing him to look at her. She stared into his eyes for a little and looked down at his lips. *I love you so much.* She continued in a whisper and AJ smiled sincerely.
*I love you too baby.* He replied putting his hand on her side and kissing her softly. He made the kiss a little deeper and more passionate and they ended up making out for a while until they decided to go to bed.
That Saturday they went over to Brian's, bringing Alex because Kevin's nephew was down and they were the same age. The guys were in Brian's studio for a while and Meg stayed out in the living room with Amanda and Howie's girlfriend, talking.
*Meg you're so cute... why can't we have a baby?* Kevin asked as he sat next to Amanda and gave her his puppy eyes.
*Aww...* She said kissing his lips softly.
*I can't believe you're having another baby... you're so young.* Nick said. He could understand Meg because they were close to the same age.
*Yeah I know, but I'm so excited. I hope I have a girl.* She said happily and they smiled at her. All the guys sat around and talked for about an hour and they started to leave at around 5 o'clock. *AJ I'm scared.* Meg whispered, gripping his hand tightly as they sat on the couch and waited for Brian to come out of the kitchen.
*Oh, hey I didn't know you guys were still here.* Brian said looking at them both.
*Brian we have to talk to you... well Meg has something to tell you.* AJ said looking at Meg and Meg looked at AJ and then to Brian.
*You see I'm pregnant, which is obvious,* She rambled. *And well there's a possibility that the baby is yours.* She said cringing. It was one thing to talk about it with AJ but talking to Brian when AJ was right there made her feel uncomfortable.
*Uh... damn* Brian said running a hand through his hair. *Well what do we do?* He asked her.
*I guess we're gonna have to wait until the baby comes and then we can find out if it's yours or AJ's.* Meg said still holding on to AJ's hand tightly. Brian was a little excited inside, but he didn't dare show it. If this baby was his that meant he'd always be a part of Meg's life and that he would have a child. They talked for a little while, AJ not saying much, and then Meg and AJ left with Alex.
