*C'mon Meg! Pleeeeease?!* AJ begged over the phone. *Only for a little bit, I haven't seen you in so long.*
*AJ that's kinda far from home.* Meg said.
*Come on Meggy.* AJ said and Meg laughed.
*Okay,* She gave in and could tell AJ was smiling on the other end. Meg agreed to go stay with her best friend AJ for the summer in his house. They went to school together before he had become all famous, and they were next-door neighbors. It was a long plane ride to Orlando but whenever Meg thought of AJ it kept her going.
*Hey Med!* AJ said with open arms as Meg walked off of the plane.
*What did I tell you about calling me Med?* She said hugging him tightly.
*Damn girl, I missed you.* AJ said smiling at her. They got her things and walked out to AJ's car.
*I hate my stupid hair!* Meg said throwing her hair up into a messy ponytail.
*You're still the same. So how've you been?* AJ asked backing out of the parking lot.
*Actually I've missed you. With you being on tour and stuff we haven't talked much.* Meg replied.
*I know, I missed you too. But now we have the whole summer.* AJ said turning up his music. They finally pulled up to AJ's huge house and walked up to the door. *We can get your stuff later.* AJ said and opened the door.
*Oh my god!!* Meg said happily as she saw all of the guys, (Kevin, Brian, Nick and Howie) waiting for her. She jumped on Kevin, him being the first she saw, and hugged him tight. She hugged the rest of them, saying how much she had missed them all.
*Wow I haven't seen you guys in so long.* Meg exclaimed, smiling.
*You didn't seem this happy when you saw me.* AJ said pouting and Meg put her hand on his hair. *The hair, the hair!* AJ said ducking and they all laughed.
*You know I love you.* Meg said. *So what do you want to do?* She asked them all as they sat on the couch.
*Well we were thinking about bringing you out to eat.* AJ explained.
*Sounds good. Let me get changed.* Meg said. The guys helped her with her bags and then she walked upstairs to the room she always stayed in when she was at AJ's. All the guys sat around and talked while Meg changed. She finally walked down the stairs in a light orange sundress, with little white flowers on it. It was spaghetti strap and went down to her knees.
*Damn girl,* Brian said standing up. *You sure have grown up.* And AJ slapped him across the head and they all laughed. Meg walked past him, ignoring his comment but smiling and the guys followed her out to the car.
*Where we eatin?* Meg asked.
*Uhm...* Nick said looking around. *I forget.*
*Nicky you're such a kid.* Meg said smiling.
*Hey! I'm older then you are.* Nick shot back.
*Yeah, by a year.* Meg replied laughing. *So tell me about your girls.* Meg said changing the subject. *No wait let me guess... Kevin's serious about his... Nicky's single.* Meg said smiling sympathetically at him. *Brian and Howie are semi-serious and AJ, being as cute as he is, has a girl on each arm and they don't know about each other.* Meg said and all the guys started laughing.
*Pretty close, I'm more serious then Howie.* Brian said flashing her a smile.
*Yeah and I happen to only have one girl.* AJ said smiling proudly.
*Thank you.*
*Wow, that's a first.* Meg said and they all agreed, even AJ. They pulled into a fancy restaurant and walked in.
*Smoking or non?* The waiter asked.
*Non.* Meg said smiling before anyone could say different. They followed the waiter, Billy, to a table near the back of the restaurant and ordered their drinks and food and sat around the table talking.
*So what have you been up to since we last saw you Meg?* Brian asked.
*Not much,* Meg sighed. *I had a boyfriend... we broke up... well he broke up with me for my ex best friend.* She explained. *But it's okay, he was a jerk.* Meg smiled. *Besides, you can't come down to Florida with a boyfriend...* She said and they laughed.
*I agree with Meg.* Nick said.
*Shut up Nick.* AJ said. *You only agree with her because you can't get a girl.* They all liked to tease Nick because he was the youngest but they knew very well that Nick had no trouble getting girls... he was the ~heartthrob~ of the group. They ate their food, laughed, and talked the entire time.
*Wow I missed you guys. I was starting to forget how much fun you were.* Meg said.
*Aww, we love you too.* Kevin said. They finally left and dropped Meg and AJ off at his house.
*Oh my god... I'm so tired.* Meg said falling down on the couch.
*Go get your pjs on and we can watch a movie.* AJ said and Meg walked up to her room. She came down in her flannel; blue leopard print pants and a tight white tank top.
*Oh, I like your pants!* Meg said jumping on the couch next to AJ. He had black flannel pants and a gray beater on.
*Yours aren't so bad either.* AJ said smiling. *We're watching the Tigger Movie okay?*
*Okay.* Meg said laughing. AJ got up, put the movie in, shut off the lights, and got comfortable on the couch next to Meg. *Listen AJ... thanks for begging me to come here... I really missed you and everyone else.* Meg said and hugged him. AJ smiled at her when she pulled away. An hour later they were both asleep on the couch, with the TV turned down. AJ was laying on his back and Meg had her head resting on his chest.
The Next Morning
*Well isn't that the cutest thing you ever saw?* Nick asked in a girly, country voice and Meg opened her eyes.
*Go away.* She mumbled, nestling into AJ's chest again and then AJ woke up.
*Ohh, is it that time of the month Meg?* Nick asked and she heard AJ snicker.
*You know what Nick? When I'm awake enough to keep my eyes open your ass is gonna be mine.* Meg said in a groggy voice and heard AJ laugh.
*Anytime baby.* Nick said.
*Same to you!* Meg said smacking AJ's stomach, ignoring Nick as he started laughing.
*Ow!* AJ said and pushed Meg off of him onto the floor.
*Alright, that's it!* Meg said standing up.
*Oh shit, you better run dude.* Nick said laughing.
*Damn,* AJ said getting up and running up the stairs. Meg chased him and grabbed for him but she ended up pulling his pants down instead.
*How dare you?!* AJ yelled in a high-pitched voice, stopping to pull them back up. Meg was on the stairs laughing her ass off.
*I-- I'm...* She said trying to apologize through her laughs. She sighed and started to calm down.
*You're such a goof.* AJ said hitting her gently on the head and walking past her down the stairs. Meg laid there trying to catch her breath for a few minutes and then got up. The doorbell rang and she raced to the door. She opened it to find some girl staring her up and down.
*Is AJ home?* She asked, brushing her dark brown hair over her shoulder as she played with the gum in her mouth.
*Oh, hey baby.* AJ said pulling her in. *Meg, this is my girl Gina, and this is my best friend Meg.* He introduced them.
*Nice to meet you.* Meg said smiling. AJ pulled her in for a long hug and for the first time Meg actually felt jealous. ~What am I doing? He is my best friend.~ She thought. ~I'm not jealous, I can't be.~ Meg assured herself. *I'm gonna go take a shower.* Meg said.
*Sure.* AJ said and Meg walked upstairs. She walked downstairs after her shower to find AJ and Gina involved in a heavy make-out session on the couch. She walked by softly as to not disturb them and into the kitchen.
*Whoa,* She said sighing and leaning against the counter. She put her hand on her forehead and shut her eyes, thinking about her best friend. *This is too weird,* She whispered to herself. *How can I be jealous?* She asked.
*Who are you talking to?* AJ asked walking into the kitchen and Meg jumped.
*Nothing,* Meg replied quickly.
*What?* He asked confused.
*Huh?* Meg said brushing her hair from her face and looked at him. AJ laughed and pulled her in for a hug and for the first time Meg felt uncomfortable around him. She tensed up until he let go.
*Me and Gina are gonna chill today. I hope that's okay.* AJ said getting some water.
*That's fine. I'll call up the guys.* Meg said smiling.
*Kay, are you alright?* AJ asked touching her arm and she looked up at him.
*I'm fine.* She said and AJ walked back in the living room. Meg picked up the phone and started to dial Nick's number before she realized his car was still in the driveway. She hung up the phone and walked into the den, only to see Nick playing video games. *Have you been in here the whole time?* Meg asked sitting next to him on the floor in front of the TV.
*Nah I went out and talked with Gina and AJ for a while.* Nick said.
*Oh.*
*What do you think of her?* Nick asked pausing his game.
*I don't really know her, how bout you?* Meg replied.
*Eh, if you ask me I think she's just in it for the money.* Nick explained.
*Well... let's do something.* Meg said changing the subject.
*Okay,* Nick said. Meg jumped on his back and he ran to the living room, both of them laughing. *Hey guys, we're gonna go find something to do.* Nick said and jumped down.
*See you lata.* Meg said.
*Now it's my turn.* Nick said and Meg screamed and ran out the door, Nick chasing her. The duo decided to go bowling.
